Indie Update – Wild Nothing (Gemini)

Been meaning to post about the one-man-band Wild Nothing for awhile now but figured I’d let Kinsella soak up the limelight at the top of the page for a few days — now onto other great music.  With his relatively new project, Jack Tatum released his first album for his project Wild Nothing just this past May titled Gemini.  I was first reeled in when I heard his extraordinary samples to create his Chinatown.  Ever since then its been quite a trip.  The album’s play list never gets redundant with each song offering its own vision of the story at hand while still managing to fit in a working formula that makes each song distinctly his as a Radiohead song.  His music is a lovely throwback to 80′s instrumentation with all the essence of dream pop at it’s core.

Be sure to check out his myspace for tour info, as he will be sharing the stage this coming September with Stars.  Your attendance is a must.
